I never watched TNG from the start, in fact it was ten years ago in 1994 that I got into it.
A friend at work loved the show so much I decided to give it a go.
The episode on TV that week was Data's Day - I quite enjoyed it so rented out the first season tapes from the library to see if this was a series I could get into.

Some episodes were pretty good and I even saw a P/C episode, The Big Goodbye - but at that point I didn't get all shippy; that came a bit later when I saw 'Arsenal of Freedom' - that episode got me intruiged and I re-watched the first season up to that point again, this time with shipper eyes :-)

Soon I was writing fan-fic, collecting pictures, and had become somewhat obsessed.

There are the obvious P/C episodes, then there are those that contain a look or a moment between them, and finally there are the 'Hmmm' moments - so called because when I point them out, friends think I am seeing things... maybe it's desperation, maybe it's not.
Then there are moments people have entirely missed until you point them out and then they too can see them.
For example 'Sarek' - watch as he sits beside her for the concert and they say good evening! THAT is a P/C moment yet so many fans seem to have missed it.. and it's not one I might be imagining either!!

That's it from me but if you would like to share why you love P/C, why you feel compelled to write fan-fic, what your favourite episodes or moments are, etc, please e-mail me and I'll add your comments here :-)

I've been a fan since 1987 at the tender age of 10. I loved watching the show and really loved watching the P/C moments. Even at such a young age, I KNEW these two belonged together.

I hated that the relationship was never full explored and was nearly completely dropped in the movies. I was happy to see some glimmer of it in "Nemesis" even if it was for only a few moments.

I began writing fanfiction full for "The Couple" in 1998 when I discovered the news group alt.startrek.creative and began reading other's stories. I just knew I had to get my ideas down as well.

They are my all time FAVORITE couple and always will be. I still enjoy watching the 'moments' on the re-runs and in the movies and try to write when I can (and when my muse shows up). Love them!
